Watch Ron’s testimony as a witness to the Committee dealing with ‘The Public Sector Accountability Bill’, unofficially known as ‘The Hillsborough Law’. The Bill aims to increase accountability for public bodies and officials. Ron harks back to those seemingly long lost days when “a man’s word was his bond”… and laments the ethical behaviour, these days, of many Civil Servants and Directors in Corporate Boardrooms. He hopes the new law, when enacted, will persuade directors, officials, civil servants and others, minded to lie and embark on, or to perpetuate, a cover-up… or by using ‘weasel words’ to deceive investigators… to take a different path.
